Watch size database

Diameter, lug-to-lug, thickness, weight and lug width for every watch in our database, in one sortable table. Every figure is the manufacturer's own. Nothing here is estimated: where a brand does not publish a measurement, the cell is empty.

34 watches. The manufacturer publishes lug-to-lug for 24 of them, thickness for 28 and weight for 21.

Square and rectangular cases are measured across the case width rather than a diameter, marked w. A measurement shown as — is one the manufacturer does not publish; we do not estimate it from the others.

Why lug-to-lug matters more than diameter

Diameter is the number every brand prints and the one that tells you least. What decides whether a watch overhangs your wrist is lug-to-lug — the distance from the tip of one lug to the tip of the other — and most brands never publish it.

As a rough guide: on a 16 cm (6.3 in) wrist, anything over about 47 mm lug-to-lug starts to overhang. On an 18 cm (7 in) wrist that limit is around 50 mm. Those are starting points for narrowing a list, not measurements of your wrist.

Thickness is the second number worth checking, because it decides whether a watch slides under a cuff. Under 11 mm goes anywhere. Over 13 mm you will notice it.
