What we collect
- Analytics data through Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and interactions such as which retailer links are clicked
- Newsletter subscriptions: the email address you submit, and nothing else
We do not ask for or store names, addresses, payment details or account credentials. This site has no user accounts.
Why we collect it
Analytics tells us which articles are useful and which are not, and affiliate click data tells us whether the site is sustainable. Newsletter data exists solely to send you the newsletter.
We do not sell data, and we do not share it with brands or retailers.
Third parties
Google Analytics processes analytics data on our behalf. When you follow a link to a retailer, that retailer's own privacy policy applies from the moment you arrive.
Affiliate networks may set a cookie recording that you arrived from this site, so a purchase can be attributed. That cookie identifies the referral, not you.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click in any email. You can block analytics with any standard browser setting or extension; the site works identically without it.
To request deletion of any data associated with your email address, contact us and we will remove it.
