How the finder decides
Five questions, each worth a fixed share of the score: budget 30 points, movement 20, style 20, wrist size 20, and the priority you pick at the end 10. The same five numbers are applied to every watch in the database. Nothing is weighted secretly and nothing is sponsored.
Every result shows the reasons behind its percentage. If a watch comes out at 78%, the card names the answers it matched and the ones it did not, so you can disagree with the ranking instead of taking it on trust.
What it will not do:
- Recommend a watch that is not in this database. There are thousands of good watches; we rank only the ones whose specifications we have verified against the manufacturer.
- Rank by commission. The retailer link is attached after the ranking, and watches with no link routinely win.
- Guess a measurement. Wrist matching uses published dimensions, so a watch whose maker does not publish them cannot claim to fit.
